Personal Touches For Your Loved One’s Funeral 

Organising
beautiful flowers is a large part of any funeral, so why not choose some in
your loved one’s favourite colours? Or have a bespoke floral tribute made in a
unique shape or to spell out their name? Alternatively, perhaps have something
designed that represents their favourite sports team, an animal they loved or
something else that reminds you of them and their personality. This is a great
option compared to more traditional arrangements.

Traditionally,
those attending a funeral usually dress in all black as a symbol of mourning
and respect. However, you may choose to overturn this and invite attendees to
wear colourful clothes to create a more uplifting atmosphere to celebrate the
life of the deceased. If you only want to incorporate some colour, ask everyone
to wear a coloured tie, shirt, blouse or shoes as a way of paying tribute.

As a unique
way of remembering your loved one, why not arrange a special token for people
to take home? Seeds of the deceased’s favourite flowers is a great option.
People can plant these in their garden and be reminded of their loved one each
time they look out of their window, or each year when the plant comes into
bloom. Or, reuse some of the funeral flowers and have them pressed into a
bookmark, perfect for those who loved literature, or a paperweight – both items
that will get good use and remind people often of those who have passed on.
