Selected Announces New Board Members for Groups 3 and 4

LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill. – April 20, 2023 — Selected Independent Funeral Homes’ Board Director  Appointment Committee has appointed J. Sheridan Lee of Bryan-Lee Funeral Homes, Inc. in  N.C. and Dave Moore of Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapels in Iowa to Selected’s Board of Directors. Lee will serve Selected’s Group 3 region. Sheridan Lee is Vice President and General Manager at the firm his father co-founded in 1977. His experience as a second-generation funeral director gives him a unique perspective on the  needs and challenges of family businesses. He seeks to add value as he serves others with  similar backgrounds and responsibilities through his position on Selected’s Board. “I’m  extremely honored for this opportunity to represent Selected,” says Lee. “I’m excited to get into  it and see if I can help the organization into the future.”

He looks forward to advocating for the interests of Selected members and  working with the other Board Members to address industry challenges and opportunities.

“Selected Independent Funeral Homes is not only steeped in a rich 106-year history, but also  in the deep pool of its members’ unwavering commitment to serving their client families with  compassion and care,” said Moore. “As a newly appointed member of the Board of Directors, I  am honored to be part of this tradition and to help guide the organization as we continue to  uphold our values and adapt to the changing needs of our communities.”

The entire Board of Directors includes President Byron Calhoun, Bedford Heights, Ohio, Group  2; Board Chair Al Asta, Phoenix, Ariz., Group 6; President-Elect Eric Trimble, Moline, Ill.,  Group 4; Board Chair-Elect John Kepner, Huntersville, N.C., Group 3; John Keohane, Quincy,  Mass., Group 1; Tom Antram, Albuquerque, N.M., Group 5; Barbara Risher Welch,  Montebello, Calif., Group 6; Christopher Waite, Medina, Ohio, Group 2; J.
